I meant to put this one up last week, but I forgot... Oh well...
I worked on this one on and off. I just really didn't have the inspiration to keep on working it. I like the sketch a lot better though. Don't know why, maybe it's just sketchy and in it's raw-est form. This will be my last piece before a long time. Hopefully I will have some time to color more.
Anyway, I finished it and have posted it up. Enjoy!
Very pretty, I love the soft looking lips and eyes, and that she sort of "falls off" the edge there, it really brings the focus to her face. Lovely job!
Hmm.... you really got me thinking.
How great could the original sketch be if you preferred it to this? From your tone, it seems pretty clearly that you enjoyed working on the sketch a lot more than you enjoyed coloring this. Perhaps it is in your nature to stick to traditional media more than to digital art? Well... you should really stick to what you enjoy doing... if you can't enjoy working on your art, then it isn't worth the time, and ya should focus on something you feel more inspired to work on.
Altough it really will be a loss for mankind if ya don't do more pieces like this. The coloring is so magnificent... the skin shading look perfect... her shirt is pretty... and her hair... oh that hair... it must have taken a while to develop that style... to make the hair seem so ... real (maybe it's a bit too real for the rest of the image, but it's still beautiful in it's own might). Gotta love the way the lips are colored.. they are so glossy and natural... altough even the lips can't really compare to the eyes. The iris work is relatively simple, yet it gets the job done right, because the show-stealer when it comes to the eyes are definitely the eyelashes. Those are some eyelashes to kill for.
Hmm... from the lineart point of view you are very good as well. Her profile looks beautiful, and of course the wondrous eyelashes would not had looked so great if ya weren't great at them from the lineart to begin with. The ear has good detail, but don't ya think it is a bit small? I thought ears were a bit larger than that (maybe it's just me... I do have rather large ears afterall). One potential pitfall that I do see is that the center of her collarbones does not seems to align with the center of the chest... Hmm... well, it isn't that big of a deal, it isn't that noticeable afterall. Well to me the best part is from the neck and up, of course... gotta love those skin shades... something to be real jealous of. Well... the hair... altough it's very impressive on it's own, Hmm... not sure it's exactly the best style of hair to match with the rest... I mean... the hair has no lineart, and it's very realistic, while the rest of the image has more of a "high quality comic" feeling to it. Both are great styles, but I am not sure I would mix them together if it were me... altough if you like it like that, you are on your right to keep it like that (afterall, it would be a bit of a waste to not use such skills).
It's a shame the world won't get to see more of your work for a while... but who knows.. perhaps.. someday... we'll be delighted again? We can just wait and see... for your art is really splendid and your fans would be honored to be witnesses to some more of it X3

I just kinda liked the messy look of the sketch, where as the finalization of the line-art had to be clean for me to work with. I like cleanliness, lol.
Anyway, thanks for the comment. The longest one I've got so far, lol...
um... o.O
Ya kinda contradicted yourself there.. no? You said you loved the sketch originally more than the final image. In this reply of yours you mentioned that you liked the sketch because of it's messy look... and on the end you said that you like cleanliness... x.X
Anyway.. yer welcome, and I do enjoy sketches when they are shaded, to me shading is the one factor that usually adds life to an image ^.^
